A student who was too busy to practice dharma very much, let’s call him Sam, was to take Rinpoche for a ride in his car, but the KTD parking lot was a sheet of ice. Sam was by the car and Rinpoche was about fifty feet away near the Shrine Green Tara entrance. So Sam shouted, “Be careful Rinpoche! It is very icy. I will call and get someone to help you”

Rinpoche pointed to behind Sam to make him turn his head, and when Sam turned his head back a few seconds later, Rinpoche was standing next to him, indicating, “Let’s get in the car.”

Sam was flabbergasted as even if Rinpoche had run, he could not have covered that distance in such a short time it took Sam to turn his head.

Sam became an ardent devotee, turning his life to the Dharma full-time.
