Here is Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche at Karme Ling, year 1993-1994.

He stayed at the men’s retreat building when he was there. There was no Lama house at this time. He was always busy. He spent much time sewing. He made some of our retreat clothes. Many of the thankas and other cloth items in the shrine room were his handiwork. He did this for both men and women. I think it is unusual for a Rinpoche to do this instead of someone under the master. Rinpoche was very humble and loved his students. He worked tirelessly.
