Sew Good

With Khenpo Rinpoche, the joy never stops. When a student brought his impressive motorbike to KTD, well, the moment was perfect for some photos. (BTW, that quotation “take the world in a love embrace” is from an old rock’n’roll anthem, “Born to be Wild....”)
He shared many stories in the past about his relationship with "tsi-tsi," the Tibetan word for mouse.
Being in more than one place at a time, knowing the unknown, finding compassion in the most dire of circumstances...
I heard a story, over lunch at Karme Ling, once when i was there. The gentleman there, who offered me the story, helped build KTD.
i remember when i first came to KTD many years ago, i was trying to get all the teacher/newbie protocol down and it seemed to me, not doing so well.
Rinpoche with his brother who two years ago came out of his lifetime retreat in Nepal just to visit for a short while with Rinpoche.
While in retreat from ‘08 to ‘12, we retreatants had the pleasure of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche’s lunch time visits. On these occasions, we were amazed how Rinpoche could anticipate our “temperature”. (Yes, we could run hot and cold.😀)

This was his birthday party I think 1992. I was living and working at KTD. We found some scraps of colorful paper and some foil and made him a birthday hat.
